Sylvamo's Digital Inkjet Swatchbook
The Sylvamo Digital Inkjet Swatchbook is the first of its kind — a swatchbook printed on 7 inkjet devices from 6 different equipment manufacturers demonstrating the power of treated sheets in the inkjet industry. The chart below is an outline of the swatchbook contents for easy reference.
When using the Digital Inkjet Swatchbook, keep in mind...
- The outside carton is the only part of the piece printed using offset printing. This was done in order to utilize a stock sturdy enough to house the interior sections. It was printed with 4-color process LED UV inks, a holographic glitter foil stamp, a sculptured embossing, then die-cut on Accent® Opaque Cover Super Smooth White 100lb. and mounted to Accent® Opaque Cover Smooth 100lb.
- The paper and press is printed on the bottom of every page for easy reference.
- The basis weights used in this swatchbook were selected based on an analysis of the most popular weights in the inkjet industry.
- The grommeted sheets inside each sleeve are collected in the following order: the treated sheet (with ColorPRO, ImageLok® or Dyemond™ Technology), the on-press treated sheet if available (bonding agent or ColorGrip), and the untreated standard digital sheet.
- Not every press used has an on-press treatment option available, so this will not always be included in the grommeted sheets. HP offers customers a treatment they call “bonding agent.” Canon Solutions America offers their customers a treatment called “ColorGrip.”
- The Canon/Océ ProStream will always lay down the ColorGrip treatment, so you will not find an example of a completely untreated sheet in that section of the swatchbook.
